Should i thank her for being nice?

Nancy used to be my friend until she accused me of something. Yesterday I saw Nancy with her friends while I walked into the same restaurant with my friends. Minding our business, a friend of Nancy's came and insulted me to a point where I left the restaurant in tears. Neve, another friend of Nancy's, was calm and sat my friends down and explained to them that Nancy told everyone certain things which surprisingly turned out to be lies cuz I know the whole truth. Nancy lied to everyone so she could look like a victim and me like the monster. My friends defended me the entire time and Neve even paid for their food cuz of the whole mess. Should I thank Neve for being so calm and explaining everything and give Neve my side of the story so she can tell Nancy or should I just leave it?
